Oddity Alley

Sarah Brown

Logline- A bright, calm alleyway is full of little hidden oddities and events.

A VR experience that calls back to the concept of 'click-points' from old Humongous Entertainment CD-ROM games such as Pajama Sam or Freddi Fish. These little easter egg-esque features held no relation to the plot of the game, but served as visually interesting elements for the player to discover as they progressed.

In Oddity Alley, small, imaginative 2D animations are hidden throughout the 3D environment of the alley, and are triggered when the user looks at their hiding places.

Style:

  • Alleyway is bright, 3D animated
  • Easter Eggs are quirky and colorful, 2D animated
  • Sound and visual cues included to nudge viewer towards events

Tasks at hand:

  • Concept Art Development
  • 2D Animations
  • 3D Modeling and Texturing
  • 3D Animations
  • Programming in Unity
  • Composing Audio

Hey all!

Here are the example calendars and pipeline sheets I showed you guys earlier today. I only have a template for the shot completion list, mostly because each of your calendars will be different. Take into account if your group is planning on working in VR or interactive, your pipeline will look slightly different. Hope everything helps! If you have any questions, feel free to stop by my office (ARCC 308) tomorrow or contact Carol, Eric, or myself by email.
